Martin will be disappointed to hear Harris's answer about moving Bennett further up the pitch in that interview I suspect.

Did not realise he was out of contract in the summer. That's interesting.

No, basically. Or at the very least "not at the minute".

Ryan Bennett is probably hoping we make another signing which could push him further back in the queue to do the pre match player press conference. And by then it will be the end of April.

I stand by that Bennett is much more likely to be dropped for Gibbons than replace Brophy. Anyone who genuinely thinks otherwise is in cloud cuckoo land. Suspect Gibbons will be picked in games we expect not to have the ball much or tough away games we need to grind a point out in. Bennett would make an excellent sub in those types of matches too.

Will be interested to see who's dropped from the bench on Saturday. Assuming the starting XI remains the same I'd expect May out for Thomas if he's back fit, then probably Bonne for Njoku and Gibbons for one of Rossi or Okedina, would actually be tempted to say Jubril purely because Rossi seems a better fit for someone to see out a game which I'd imagine would be the role wanted from a CB. That would leave a bench of Mannion, Lankester, May/Thomas, Gibbons, Bonne, Rossi, Janneh. Possibly (hopefully) we'd see Njoku remain with Janneh dropped, or could be Okedina. Nice problems to have though and will be even tougher to pick a squad when some of the other injured players return (although by then it'll be someone else out)

I'd hope that Janneh is dropped from the bench over Njoku

I'd hope that Janneh is dropped from the bench over Njoku I expect he probably will be. Tbh I'd forgotten that Lankester can play out wide so it was more that I wondered if Harris would rather have 1 striker and 1 winger than 2 strikers. Although IF we get someone else through the door then don't think either will be on the bench

To be honest, I'm a touch surprised we haven't managed to move Janneh out in this window.
