Also is it me or do we have quite a poor record there? Nope, haven't won a competitive match away at Shrewsbury since 1991. 8 visits since then, but 5 were draws. I mean, I'd take a point over the last few visits that's for sure. One of those draws felt like a massive win though. Kaikai in the 95th minute after what seemed like half the home crowd having left.

To be honest, I'm a touch surprised we haven't managed to move Janneh out in this window. Probably because we couldn't find any takers

To be honest, I'm a touch surprised we haven't managed to move Janneh out in this window. The disappointment felt when he was injured against Stevenage feels like a long long time ago!

To be honest, I'm a touch surprised we haven't managed to move Janneh out in this window. At the start of the season, fully fit, he was dangerously good on the wing. Maybe there is hope of that returning.

With only 3 wingers at the club I'm not surprised we haven't moved him on.

I wonder if moving Janneh on might have been the plan if the plan didn't have to change. Injuries forced us into signing strikers but if not I suspect we'd have concentrated on strengthening the wide areas and midfield, and maybe still a striker but at that point the need isn't for two with the profile we signed, it's for someone who can provide backup.
Anyway, tough game tomorrow. Not sure what to make of Shrewsbury under the new manager but until now one of the lowest scorers at home versus one of the lowest scorers away screams 0-0...I'd eventually want more ambition from a game like this than Harris showed against Exeter and I think we could win this game tbf, but for now I understand the 'clean sheet mentality' builds a platform from which confidence grows, so if that's what's needed for now I'll gladly take it.

With only 3 wingers at the club I'm not surprised we haven't moved him on. If everyone is back fit towards the end of Feb I can see him being moved out on loan to the conference. That will then probably be the last we see him of in a U's shirt. Might get a league 2 gig somewhere next season.

Would rather McConnell getting minutes than Janneh

He is a frustrating one, he has shown in small bursts that he has the ability, but can't produce that consistently. Bonner blew him out last year after a very impressive cameo off the bench in the first game against Wycombe, he hardly got a look in much in the first half of the season. Shipped out on loan and we all thought we had seen the last of him, only for him to come back and impress in pre-season, leading to him starting the season in the team, then drifted away again. Harris obviously doesn't rate him either. I can only think he doesn't train well, or has an attitude issue?

Same...not at the moment mind, he's injured, but I hope integrating the youth is something we can do when we're safe.

Andrew Strang is not the second coming. He managed to get us money for Azeez, I dont think 2 miracles is possible?

Would rather McConnell getting minutes than Janneh He's injured. Yeah he was on crutches with his foot in a protective boot at the Burton game. Don't think we will see him for a while unfortunately.
