Be great to see how these 'stewards' perform when any away supporters infiltrate home areas.

Be great to see how these 'stewards' perform when any away supporters infiltrate home areas. If their response to “medical emergencies” in the past is anything to go by, then they will just stand there and pretend to not see anything.

Regarding searches:
I’ve always had polite and friendly stewards at United, possibly because of my age and grey hair, and they’re not in any way abusive.
However has anyone ever let off a flare or thrown something onto the pitch from the Habbin or Main Stand? Surely searches should be proportionate.
People aren’t frisked when walking into Tescos because there is minimal threat. So why aren’t we simply watched and accept that stewards could intervene if they suspect something? Or was I born thirty years too late!

The rent a mob stewards are mostly from Pboro. Speaking to quite a few they haven't had first aid or fire training. If there is a large medical event I would be worried. Pretty sure most would be useless during a pitch invasion too as most only look about 17. Amongst themselves they don't even speak English. Not looking forward to how they are going to cope during the scum game.

What's the purpose of supporting Cambridge United if not to endure the club's disdain? Surely, that's the entire crux of it. I don't attend matches for mere merryment’s sake.

Be great to see how these 'stewards' perform when any away supporters infiltrate home areas. They’ve never done anything about that have they ? No they haven't. And that incites disorder. The very thing they are supposed to be there for - crowd control. Searching for what? knives? flares? bananas? coins? to name a few items which would only be bought into any stadium to cause or incite trouble. If they want to do the job using forceful tactics, then I WANT to see it in action when the occasion occurs. We all know it won't.

I've been in the NRE twice when blokes have been taken ill & these lumpen hi-viz monkeys just stand there & stare while fans attend to them & I hurriedly give the last rites. They're shite in the main. And so's the Club. Where's the apology for the contemptuous treatment on Tuesday? Feck you, Tunbridge. That soon changed from your post in the redevelopment thread 5 days ago.

What do you expect? I'm still soaking wet. And I've had to buy an Aquascutum baseball cap on ebay for Saturday.
