On a serious note let them all go bar the youngsters of the squad these pros are nt good enough I also add Corr and Betsy into that aswell and those that recruited this current crop. It's definitely taking them all longer than expected to get over the news that Simon Grayson is taking over!

Retain - Paul Barry, Ian Darler, DMJ.
Sack or release - literally everyone else including most of the NRE.
Bah.

Thinking about this, surely the motivation Monk uses is none of you fuckers are getting good contracts next season, here or elsewhere. With the exception of Liam Bennett which of those players is a L1 or even high paying L2 club going to look at and go yes you're good enough for a contract. Lyle Taylor will probably be able to swindle in somewhere off of being a big name (Millwall), but it's midtable League 2 or worse for them all.

I would release Cousins tonight and let him walk home. Ye gods. Its a way back from Lincoln. At his pace, he won't be back till the seasons finished....

Decisions made on the youngsters.
Got to say I'm surprised with Yearn leaving, have to assume there's something more to that one.

It makes sense if he's not likely to feature in the first team. I think given the last couple of seasons, we're not really in a position to integrate them into the first team unless they're ready to go, like Jobe. Fairer on them I think than being pulled around on endless loans.

On paper it’s definitely a surprise to see Kai leave but for me it feels like the right move all things considered. Interesting to know if it was his decision.
Definitely a future in the game but he needs a run of games at the right club and with George & Glenn emerging that’s possibly not on the cards.
A little surprised Dan Barton is staying but that’s not a bad thing.

I agree, if Barton’s being offered an extension after a year at St Ives then Yearn must have decided to try his luck elsewhere. Bit harsh on Akanbi after a year out injured but that’s football I guess. Kaunda the only one of this years crop to be offered a pro contract.
