One of the weirdest and darkest stories of all time, Duffy that is.
Back to Taylor, and responding largely to racer boy, I don't think anyone would mind whatever his views are if he kept them to himself, and most wouldn't mind if he publicised them as long as it's then accepted as something up for public debate. In this case, he appears to be refusing to do something requested by his club, and that does matter, because it reeks of arrogance and disrespect, and as a senior pro, it's a terrible example for other players. When Bonner succeeded, it was down, at least to some extent, to excellent team morale, with players being ambassadors for the team. Taylor is the complete opposite, only interested in himself and I can't imagine Bonner would have signed him.
I would also like to say that people like Taylor belong to a dangerous club. There is no independent thought, no intelligence and they all believe the same things eg anti-lockdown, anti-vax, pro Brexit, anti-taking the knee, climate change deniers, anti-MSM etc. If they were genuinely thinking these issues through, there would be some variation of opinion, there is none, it's just stuff they have absorbed through the same social media channels. And there are loads who think this way, I expect most of us have friends whose heads have been turned, and have changed as people completely, often leaving relationships in tatters, I certainly have. Another example is Le Tissier, he used to be my favourite footballer, and now look at what he has become. So yes it's dangerous, and Taylor is of this ilk, so I hope he is off soon.

Kentish Hold on, you say no independant thought but then you expect them to toe the line. I do personally think that the anti-vax lot are crazy but its valid not to agree with the lockdown as it happened. Pro-Brexit could be an emotional argument and all fine with that (i.e. if someone says Brexit = we will be better off financial thats idiotic, but if they dont agree with the concept of the EU thats fine). Again, anyone denying climate change is happening is idiotic as that is factual, its probably the argument around how we affect it thats the issue.

Yes we're all individuals
Hoping there's enough people over the age of 40 for that one to make sense

Londonderry. This is a football forum. We clearly have strong views and different views. Thankfully those on all sides have the space in which to peacefully air those views and even more thankfully despite those opinions we stand shoulder to shoulder on the terraces. I say what I say without trying to offend or upset but knowing that it could do so. I’m saying no more on the matter. The first six letters are silent. It's not about strong views or differing views, it's about expressing things as fact when not based in any reality.

Finally saw the goals on TV since in the flesh. First was as depressing as it looked IRL and can’t defend Stevens for that one. Second… another day he saves, Saturday it went in. Just one of those things. 3rd…meh. 4th. Cheese and biscuits what a hit. Yeboah esque. Can’t imagine any of our players hitting a ball so cleanly.

I didn't follow the game closely on Saturday but at 2-0 the Kach and KaiKai misses in the same passage of play (really should have been 2-1) serve to illustrate where we're at.

I don’t think the club has any issues over Taylor’s thoughts/Beliefs. I doubt he’s pushing that agenda on others, just like they’re not telling him he’s dangerous.
If anyone thinks other players are going to be upset over him not wearing some virtue signalling t shirt then you don’t know footballers very well.
For whatever reason(s) his form has dipped alarmingly from what it was, I’m fairly confident that politics has no part in that dip. Want rid of him cos he appears not to be giving it his all on the pitch by all means, but hoping he goes cos you don’t share his opinions on things… that’s just nonsense.

On the one hand I'm tempted to think that Harris enticing him over to us from Wycombe, and then deciding to suddenly depart, has had a massive impact on his confidence and assurance and possibly motivation. On the other hand the service he has been receiving is appalling. Probably a bit of both.

It's fair to think Taylor is a dick head, but we should probably acknowledge the other side to him if we do. He's raised an awful lot of money for cancer research which seems like a good thing to do to me.
The service to him has been appalling, yeah, as as his movement and workrate.

I would say you are displaying a lack of intelligence by presuming that Taylor, and ‘people like him’ all ‘believe’ the same things listed.

Taylor is one of 4 or 5 players we really need more from. Morrison, Rennett, Andrew and to a lesser extent Digby (playing a position that was totally unsuitable for him on Saturday but had a mare at Lincoln) are all very experienced players, yet have all made very basic errors in the last few games.
I would drop Rennett cos we’re so limited on how we play with him and Morro as a pairing. Maybe having Okedina or Rossi alongside him will actually help Morrison. He’ll be the older head and enjoy the responsibility.
Andrew is just going through a bad run of form, I’m confident he’ll be back to his consistent self after this 2 week break.
Digby will be fine if we play the right player(s) alongside him . Finding the answer for Taylor is the hardest one. It’s almost 2 problems in one cos he’s not working as hard as he probably should be, but we’ve also got no one supplying him with anything meaningful.

Kentish "...people like Taylor"... "they all believe the same things eg anti-lockdown, anti-vax, pro Brexit, anti-taking the knee, climate change deniers, anti-MSM etc" I mean, if you were aiming to sound arrogant, narrow-minded and judgmental, then you've succeeded admirably. It sounds like you can't respect anyone that doesn't subscribe to your exact view of the world. Being so self-absorbed must be bloody hard work so I must admire your stamina. For what it's worth, I agreed with lockdowns, got vaccinated, wouldn't get my children vaccinated for COVID but get them vaccinated for everything else, voted for Brexit, would take the knee, believe climate change is real but love engines, and abhor mainstream media. Not sure where that fits in with your "they all believe the same things" narrative? Not that it matters in the context of footballers. The only thing that matters is whether they can play well and improve the team. Apparently not to you. Jeez.

Do you think the weight of Taylor's hair is slowing him down a little?

Do you think the weight of Taylor's hair is slowing him down a little? He has a weird run, although I'm not sure that's related to his hairstyle!
