Having lost our last 2 games by a combined total of 10-0.. I’ll be hugely disappointed if at 2pm next Friday, Okedina is not named in the starting line up. He has an error in him for sure, but he’s still learning his trade and offers the team far more than the Morrison/Rennett combination. He offers the opposing team a goal most times he plays, which is why he doesn't get played, he's always the weak link, but sure he'll get he's chance to mess up again. Morrison and Rennett have been rock solid back there haven’t they. Dread to think what the last 2 scores would have been had either of them made a mistake……..

Another player who gets better with every game he doesn’t play. Right now I find it hard to believe he could be any worse than Rennett (Or Morrison for that matter) You never know, he might even be better and actually fit in more with the system/style that we’re looking to play.

He offers the opposing team a goal most times he plays… Just the one? In that case, he should be the first name on the team sheet!

Bonne starts & scores for Zimbabwe today. And they end up coming back to win on penalties....quite why there was a penalty shootout in a friendly is beyond me but hey! Jubs is in the starting line up for Malawi against Kenya, again a friendly, although that game seems to have been delayed so who fucking knows wagwan with that. Edit: Now underway and they're losing 2 nil after 5 minutes. Jubs partially responsible for the first and gives away a penalty for the second. He didn't give away the penalty.

Okedina has pace, which makes him the only one of Rennett/Morro/Digby/Cousins with any in that central 4. I don't think it's a coincidence that we get stuck too deep quite often with those 4 playing, but can push higher up (benefiting our attacking play greatly) when Okedina starts.
He's not error-free, but neither is anyone else we have and he has youth on his side as well.

He didn't give away the penalty. Looked like he did on the (admittedly rather patchy!) stream I was watching. Think he gives away a free kick earlier in the game, but the penalty definitely comes from the left back

Yeah, wasn't him.
Highlights here in case anyone wants to watch -
The commentary was great. No idea what they were saying of course but they found it all very amusing.

Interesting. At the start I thought, someone needs to get the Malawi team a matching kit!
Okedina was caught out a bit for the first goal, not surprisingly after not starting many matches recently, and not the best start to his international career, but good to see he lasted the full match.

Surprised that nobody has mentioned International Johnny Vaughan in this thread.
