I’ve read comments about Monk’s post and pre match press comments, lacking focus, him coming across clueless, disillusioned, uninspiring and lacking leadership. Now not every football manager is media savvy and comes across like a motivational speaker, we have been use to Bonner talking the talk very well, likewise Harris to a degree, now we have Monk who clearly is a different character. I decided to do a quick Google search for some of his previous pressers at his other clubs and they all sound similar. The one below could just be talking about Saturdays game!!!
The point I’m trying to make is that Monk isn’t great in front of the camera, not just at Cambridge, but elsewhere, so don’t read too much into this.

Good post and you’re absolutely right. Happy to judge him on what happens on the pitch.

At least he had the decency to occasionally shave in that era. His current demeanour is that of a heavily-sedated derelict that hangs around market town bus stations with a Morrison's carrier bag full of tinnies.

I've never personalised on here before, but you're starting to get a bit boring, even tedious. Lighten up and talk about the football instead.

Yeah, if there’s one thing the good Father never brings to this board, it’s levity…

SmartSpud is doing a bit as a thin-skinned, impatient message-boarder that has no time for imaginary priests ranting polemically in crafted detail.
JoffJog and FAB seem to have overlooked the clever parody of the father's own bit.

Is this poll ridiculous - yes or no.
Nothing that happened today changes how abject and pathetically set up we were against Lincoln and Reading. 'Monk out' was always an emotional response to that, though, and I think most of us realised it was a bit knee jerk by Sunday at the latest.
I wouldn't want to be in my shoes if we lost again today admittedly, but fortunately we used the international break well and timed it well with the return of what should be some key players in Jobe and Gassan (and possibly Fej)
I can't be the only one singing Mamadou to the tune of Agadoo, can I? 🍍

No. Ridiculous to put this poll up. 3 games in and calling for the man to be sacked...get a grip ffs and give yer head a wobble. I stand by my post. Pathetic
