No. Ridiculous to put this poll up. 3 games in and calling for the man to be sacked...get a grip ffs and give yer head a wobble. I stand by my post. Pathetic And so you should mate, pathetic is the word.

unbelievable that anyone who supports this club would want a chosen one away without giving him a chance. Trust in our manager whoever he is - Gary Monk has turned the corner

I'd guess most people who voted 'yes' on this thread would admit that it all got a bit daft after the Reading game - I certainly would. In mitigation, the performances against Lincoln and Reading were truly embarrassing and shambolic and I do think Monk made some significant mistakes in those first couple of weeks. I'm not sure he was quite as across our current squad as Harris was when he came in.
However, we did meet Lincoln at the worst possible point, and until the international break, he had minimal time on the training ground to get his ideas across to the players. Today's game would suggest that he's used the last couple of weeks to get to grips with the squad and they looked organised and competitive today. It was a superb win.
I would imagine that this has been an incredibly emotionally draining season for everyone involved in the club: Posh away, the break from Bonner, the relative optimism of the Harris months, his sudden departure, the spiral towards another relegation battle... I'm sure all of that baggage played a part in the two capitulations the other week, and I suspect it was behind the outpouring of anger and frustration on here too. Anyway, let's hope we've done rock bottom now and we can look back on this thread and laugh when Monk is leading the play-off charge in 12 months time!

The general consensus was we needed a point a game to stay up when Monk was appointed. Seems like he is on track with 4 points from 4 games now, although now that our goal difference has been decimated we may need an extra point after all.

I've voted Out, but I know that's ridiculous really. Effectively I see this as 2 weeks to save his job though. 3 days to save his job... (Let's see if it works again)

(Let's see if it works again) What a load of twaddle he is our manager he inherited these players with a few games to go and no knowledge of the squad. He will be ok.

The emotion of 5:30pm on a Saturday is a very different beast to the one a day before the next match.
You go from screaming you hope they never play for you again, to agonising about whether they've got a thigh strain or not.
This poll was cathartic for many, I feel. Even if it's now got a thigh strain.
Anyway, bob on Andy.

So pleased for Monkee. Awful situation to come into which was then compounded by a run of results up there with the worst in our history.
2 weeks away, some necessary composure, some belief installed and things are looking up. A cool head.
