Major oversight: I also spent the past month watching The World at War. It's absolutely superb: if anyone can recommend a better documentary I'd like to see it. Agreed, one of the most amazing documentaries ever made. I learn something new everytime I watch them. I would love them to do a new version, with all the new information they have found out since it was made. I've recently been watching 'filthy cities' again on yesterday. Another good documentary that brings the information to life. This is the type of documentary they should be showing in schools to get kids interested. My missus is a history teacher and she has shown this in her lessons. Never seen it myself.

I tried watching The Wire, got about 30 minutes into the pilot and spent at least 20 of them asleep. Couldn't get into it at all. I really must give it another go because everyone seems to rate it.
I enjoyed Homeland but the ginger bloke's loud nose acting got on my nerves after a while - if he was supposed be angry, worried, unsure, aroused or whatever he just seemed to breath really loudly through his nose to portray it.

I think that's just Damian Lewis, he does the same in BOB. I wouldn't mind watching Homeland but my missus loves DL so I'm a bit put off by sitting there for an hour while she's fapping away next to me

I measure everything against The Wire - I can't see how a better TV series will ever be made. This. Been enjoying Homeland though, looking forward to the season finale tomorrow night. Will be interesting to see how they can set it up for a second series...

Episodes, with Matt Le Blanc is absolutely fantastic, they've just re-ran the first series and the second is round the corner, good times!
Entourage also, anyone else like/love that? Never seem to find many people who do!

A bit retro but I've finished watching all 9 series of Seinfeld, which I still find the most consistently funny programme ever !!
I'm about 7 episodes away from my most recent "watch the Sweeney from start to finish" attempt, which is about 2 days worth.
Then I'll get stuck into The World at War, but this time it's been remastered so is new telly technically.

I have 'The Pacific' series to watch on Blu-Ray when I get the chance. 'Band of Brothers' was ace.
I am awaiting the next series of both 'The Walking Dead' and 'Falling Skies'. I download these.
I watch 'Once Upon a Time' with the missus each week, 'The Simpsons' with the children most evenings and catch Family Guy/American Dad when I get the chance.
Apart from that I hardly watch anything on TV these days, it's generally awful I find.

The Pacific is great but I didn't enjoy it as much as Band of Brothers which I have down as my "desert Island" Box-Set.
I do scroll through the TV some nights & as The Boss said "57 Channels & nothing on"
I must search out to see if "Star Fleet" is available on DVD
"Send a message out across the sky.....etc"

^^ The Walking Dead is superb. Would it make me sound too geeky if I said I've read the comics...?. I was very excited by the ending of the second series...VERY. I might have squealed a little bit when [deleted] turned up and the camera panned back to reveal [deleted] in the final scene.
Saw something called Greg the Bunny a while back, funny stuff, it stars hand puppets so that automatically makes it ace.

I too have read the Walking Dead comics - well, the hardback annuals anyhow. I have just read the most recent one, the seventh IIRC. As much as I like the TV series, the books are much more engrossing. They portray the gritty and desperate situation so much better than a TV show ever could. I have also just played through the first episode of the Walking Dead Video Game - it's an interactive comic using the same artwork as the books. The story is set along the same timeline and in the same area as the original, but from the viewpoint of different characters. It does overlap slightly, both Glenn and a visit to Hershel's farm are part of the story. It's out on PC, Mac, 360 and on PS3 (which is what I played it on) Well worth a look: www.telltalegames.com/walkingdead

Well now, it's just under a week away until series 3 of the Walking Dead and I couldn't be more excited. I've read the 'prison' arc in the comics and I can't wait to see what they do with it.
On another note, I watched the first episode of Red Dwarf series 10 the other day...I'm pleased to announce that it was good.
