I've got the Kinect but hardly ever use it. Waiting for a genuinely good compatible game, rather than good party games.
Just ordered Baldur's Gate II for the PC because I've seen people saying you HAVE to play it.

Borderlands 2 is getting a lot of hype from those in the US. Not sure if it's out here yet.
FIFA 13 a week today too. Tad annoyed FM13 hasn't been given a release date yet, waiting on the demo to start the TSFOROLUTION

So what's FM13 going to have that FM12 doesn't, except the latest squad lists?
Does FM have, or has it ever had, a difficulty setting? I think it's ridiculous that people take a club from regional football to European champions in seven seasons. I wouldn't actually get any enjoyment out of that. It should be *almost* impossible.
You wouldn't want the game programmed in such a way that certain things were made impossible, but I do think it should be made much harder.

It doesn't have difficulty levels as such, but you can change the manager status (you get more respect if you are an ex international rather than a Sunday league player etc) which makes it a bit easier. I don't think the attendances work great as you move up the divisions meaning your budget will keep on going up and up meaning you will stay mid table in the budget table. In my game (As St Albans) I'm in League 2 but needed stadium upgrades meaning my budget is around £0.5m, the second lowest is £0.9m and most teams are around £2m. This has halted my progress slightly but I imagine if you use a club with decent facilities, once you've won the first league (in my opinion the hardest part) you have a decent core team and can improve it every season steamrollering through the leagues, until you reach your stadium capacity.
As for new features in FM13, there's 2 new modes, along side the conventional game. A challenge mode with "stay up with all your key players injured" type scenarios, and a 'Classic' mode, where most of the stuff is left to your assistant, and you basically control transfers/squad selection.
As for features of the main game, Directors of Football can be signed and have various amounts of control, from negotiating contracts, to buying players from a user picked list or even them having transfer control Blackburn style.
Of course all the little things have been tweaked and improved and all the new competition rules; financial fair play, U21 Premier League etc have been added

The difficulty can be made a bit harder online as you have another real person competing with you for survival or promotion etc.
Heard lots of good things about borderlands not sure on what the game is like so going to wait a few weeks till i get it

Managed to get in for the early version of FIFA 13. My opinion may be skewed by the fact that I got an inform Gibbs in Ultimate team but it looks good, first touches can make for some memorable moments and skill games are fun

The first time I played Civ III I was on it for 14 hours. The series is far, far too addictive. I haven't been able to enjoy V at all though.
@gbc: I bought a Wii not so long ago. If you like Xenoblade, you might like Pandora's Tower. I was really, really surprised at how good it was. I really want The Last Story, too.

Heard bad things about Civ V so got IV instead. Was in the midst of a cracking game, nearly in total control of one continent on a map with two, when it stopped working and the last save was several gameplay hours beforehand.
I was just building up my navy to and air force to take over the WORLD... but, no.

The Last Story is next on my JRPG list, and Pandora's Tower after that. This all depends on my actually completing Xenoblade though, as it seems to be massive!

I'd followed the series from CM2 back in the mid-90's, but around a decade ago the games got a little too over-complex for my liking. Nothing wrong with that, I just didn't like them, I tried getting into them on numerous occassions with no joy. I still play a patched version of CM01/02 and love it, but I will give this new version a try.

Civ V sucks like a large sucky thing - Warlords and Beyond the Sword are well worth while as expansions to Civ IV - just so long as you dont want any approximation of a life for a considerable period ..... just one.... more.....turn
