Yeh, everything that's been said for the last 3 years points towards us having an ambition to progress in this league...the training ground being built and the stadium purchase demonstrates that and shows a clear willingness to invest.
I'm not suggesting we're about to become big hitters of course, but maybe (maybe) we're upping our reach a little this year.
We'll see who comes in I guess 🤷🏻♂️.

Cousins kept getting picked by Monk last season hence the clause giving him another year was triggered. It would be strange if we were now desperately trying to offload him.

Heard Norwich keeper is coming in on loan and possibly a striker who was at Blackpool last season. We finally have an ITK message board user?

Nope was told by someone both deals were done last week Surely that's the definition of ITK?

I guess there's a difference between something that has already been confirmed just not released and something that is yet to happen!

Nope was told by someone both deals were done last week The obvious question therefore is are there any other done deals? I think the announcement timing is interesting, 1230 for Shayne yesterday and 0930 today for Vinnie - plenty of time for another one today then!

And Wyke has just signed for Carlisle. There's something about Lincoln's dealings this summer that is giving me financial red-flag vibes. Have been thinking the same. For a team that went so well for the second 2/3 of the season, there seems to be a lot of squad turmoil, and good players at that. Here’s hoping Mondriou signs for us! I'm not sure why, if you ask Lincoln fans they'd probably tell you we're as stable as we ever have been in L1. We only had five senior players out of contract (one hardly played and one was on loan in L2 and had been transfer listed for 18 months). We offered contracts to three - one is likely to accept. Bishop's availability is questionable and Mandroiu one of our highest earners so in both cases we didn't get the consistency of performance or goals/assists out of them to warrant that sort of money so I'm not sure if they were offered reduced terms to reflect that. We've signed three midfielders fairly early so I suspect we knew at the end of last season that they'd unlikely to be no agreement with them. The squad turnover is fairly minimal, we've retained the core of our permanent players from last season aside from selling Sorenson for £500k to Huddersfield. A good handful of saleable assets under contract as well.

If you'd asked our fans they'd have said similar before it all went belly-up under Jez. As I say, can't really put my finger on it but something just feels slightly off. I'm probably wrong of course (& hope I am – I quite like Lincoln as a club).
I see you've reinvested some of the Sorensen money on signing Street.

An initial five figure fee apparently (and a four year deal) - it'll be different heading into the new season with three senior strikers. We didn't have any available in the first half of 2023/24!
We had a £2m investment at the end of last season, just opened a near £3m building at the back of the away end and are a debt free club (aside from some supporter bonds) so I'm not sure what others are seeing to be honest. Worth noting that Jez doesn't run the Club or is the only one making decisions. I'm not even sure he's part of the Executive Group who are the level under Board Level. I know you guys don't like Jez, though. Our Chairman and majority investor are Hedge Fund managers so given their background, I'm not sure he'd succeed in trying to pull the wool over their eyes.
Jez has actually been doing a fairly decent job here with the relationships over in the LOI, which we've bought players from and sent our youngsters out on loan there, the Academy has brought through three or four first teamers as well. Not to say it'll always go well because we made some wrong steps in the transfer market ahead of the 2020/21 season but there's been more good than bad so far.
