Nothing against Carsley, Howe or Potter but it says a lot about the lack of top English managers when those 3 are the top contenders. Portsmouth winning the FA cup under Harry Redknapp in 2008 was the last time an English manager won a major trophy. Before that you have to go right back to when Leeds won the title under Howard Wilkinson in 91-92.

Maybe he should get a chance as England manager Keep him away from the umbrellas Nah but Bielsa for me or wait a year & ask Pep Did see the U21s win 9-1 last year playing stunning football, so maybe Carsley wouldn’t be too bad. It’ll be a yes man like Potter though, which is fine. Eddie Howe can politely do one though.

Would Pep be able to buy the best players in every position from other countries so he can replicate his success at Man City?
Even then he failed to win six international tournaments before finally winning one (2nd round, Quarters, Quarters, Quarters, Final, Semi)…

Klopp would be perfect to continue the media love in but continuously finishing second despite a really good squad plan.

Anyone but Klopp for me.
Or Pep.
Or Lampard.
Or Derry.
And especially anyone but Gerrard.
I'd favour Carsley at the moment. Mainly because its already annoying the Southgate-outers on social media which is amusing, but also because his under 21 side were very successful playing some cracking football and you'd think he should be able to transition that to the grown ups while integrating some of the better players from that side over time. Andrew Well at least Carsley's U21s managed to beat a Spanish side 😁

That'd really cheer up the neanderthal element. Finally rid of that woke softy Southgate only to replace him with a woman. Say what you will about the physical aspects of the game, tactics are tactics and Weigman has nous by all accounts.f

Assombalonga I see your point but they’re not unattainable in a financial sense. Fwiw if all 4 were asked if they were interested I think Tuchel is the most likely to say yes. No harm in aiming for the best.
