Chesterfield fans on their forum seem to believe that he was better at RB than centre mid, where they think he was anonymous.

He's been signed as a central midfielder. So? We've signed plenty of players for a position in which they're not natural. And signed plenty of players who want to play in a position that isn't natural, too. We signed Harrison Dunk as a left back, for example. His best games for us have been left midfield.

O'Neil isn't a right back, that's my point.

Brucey baby, he's a central midfielder. He may play central midfield. He may have been signed to play central midfield. He may be perfectly capable of paying central midfield. He is naturally a right back.

🤔 Oh right, do you know him personally or something? Was that his position in youth football because he's certainly referring to himself as a central midfielder now.

That was probably one of the best ever away trips. Sat 5th May 1990, I remember it well. What a day. I call bullshit. If you remember it well, you weren't there

A bloke I work with went to Long road with him and played in the college team together before he was wisked away to west brom. Same colleague who knows Lewis strangely enough. Both good eggs by all accounts.
