Yet another big Jacob's Mouse fan in the house - JM + Bivouac at Hull Adelphi sometime in the early 90s remains one of my favourite gigs. Special mention also to World Domination Enterprises, who Jacob's Mouse covered for the Rough Trade Singles Club! Crikey, this has escalated! If anyone is curious and/or fancies a trip back to the early 1990s they still have some stuff available on Youtube at linkand Bandcamp at jacobsmousebse
Maybe, Just maybe, some Jacob's Mouse getting a spin this Sunday night. Stagger! 10pm Cambridge 105 Radio. PLUG PLUG

Seems selfish but other than watching live football has anyone really missed going to gigs?
I had several lined up this year but all fallen by the wayside some rescheduled and some not.
Got to feel for those venues that are really suffering, some may never reopen.

Got to feel for those venues that are really suffering, some may never reopen. I have at least 5 gigs I am hungry to get to that have been postponed/rearranged/postponed/rearranged. Massive appetite out there for gigs of all sizes. I think we will see ticket prices go up as artists need to plug holes in their finances. Marillion have managed to shift all but 4 tickets for the Corn Exchange next November at mostly £50 a pop.

I was due to see Brian Wilson in Cardiff earlier in the year, and Beck at Brixton Academy. Now rearranged for consecutive days next year, which will make for hectic weekend. Manics gig also put back, as well as 3 or 4 stand up shows. Last concert I went to was a year ago this weekend and I didn't realise how much I would miss it.

Ah Parrot records, yes. I remember Pete’s sister now 😶 Sorry for the satellite delay but just trawling around after sad news regarding Animal Louise ? She used to mate around with Cheryl Morris ? Those 2 were a handful ! Always thought that Pete Matthews looked like a doppelganger of Andy Bell from Erasure

Yes and yes. Didn't they go to Coleridge or has my memory deserted me? One was Cyprus Rd? Or was it Madras!

We all lived on Madras Road and I was in the same year at Coleridge as Louise and Cheryl who certainly were a handful. And their mate Cynthia who I can remember a few slow smooches with at the infamous end of year Discos. We used to save up dinner monies for a few months to get some of those small cans of beer from that shop on Mill Road. Teachers used to intervene when we managed to get Nelly the Elephant played at the end as it was carnage

Looking forward to seeing some live music again. Next up for me is Declan McKenna at the junction followed by the Sherlocks at the Portland. Also got some tickets for the Vaccines gig at the Junction. The Snuts in Norwich in October. As well as supporting our football club we also need to support our local music venues to save them from closure.
