I saw the Bug Club on Weds night in London, I'd higly reccomend them a good mix of indie band and proper Rock n Roll.

Went to see Ferocious dog in Bedford last weekend. They were on top form with a setlist containing most of the new album "The Hope" with some fan favourites mixed in. If you are in to folk-punk I would recommend them whole heartedly. Off to see the totally bonkers Henge this weekend, also in Bedford. FD are back at the Junction in early March, Chris. Hurrah!

White Lies the other day. Bloody good, not sure when they went all in on the Broken Bells indie disco sound, but it works.

Spent a very enjoyable afternoon at Tramshed in Cardiff for the 6 Music festival today.
Interviews with Jon Ronson and Green Gartside were really interesting. A few live sets as well, including Gruff Rhys who is undoubtedly a genius.
Then Tom Robinson filled a gap with a short acoustic set that wasn't broadcast or recorded and was excellent.

Can recommend the Tall Tress (was Snug) on Lensfield Rd.
Saw the Lonley there recently, good local band. Also the Wednesday sessions are excellent!

Two years and three months after the original date was postponed FINALLY got to Norwich last night to see Stiff Little Fingers , supported by The Professionals and TV Smith. On the same night that The Killers played Carrow Road , literally half a mile up the road. Traffic and parking were thus an absolute nightmare but the gig was well worth the hassle. Slightly shocking to realise that Jake Burns is now the spitting image of Buster Bloodvessel but he can still write a decent tune and SLF`s newer numbers don`t sound out of place alongside the old classics. The Professionals were a pleasant surprise , great to see Paul Cook (the Pistols` drummer for all you young `uns) hammering the sh1t out of his kit and very obviously loving being back out on the road. As someone who was too young to see the original Pistols , The Professionals` version of `Silly Thing` was almost enough to bring a tear to this grizzled old punk rocker`s eye.........

Advance notice - after our preseason friendly v Hull City on July 23rd you could do a lot worse than head for The Junction in the evening to witness one of the finest guitarists this fair country has ever produced (Wilko Johnson) supported by one of the most entertaining lunatics this country has ever produced (John Otway).

I took my two girls to the Capital Summertime Ball on Sunday. I saw and heard things I should never have had to.
So repetitive. Do I sound old if I say they all sounded the same?!
Sheeran and Styles were the two 'main' acts and were both pretty dull.
They enjoyed it though.

Given Wilko Johnson was diagnosed with terminal cancer over 10 years ago, he seems to be doing pretty well. Seeing Otway should be on everyone's bucket list, so if you have never done it, do it! I saw James headline the opening night of Black Deer festival tonight, possibly the best live band of current times? Don't know of a better one. Kentish

Just been to Copenhell festival in Copenhagen. 4 days of great music from the likes of the raven age, korn, jinjer, benediction, thunder, alestorm, metallica, iron maiden, judas priest and kiss.
Apart from some sound problems, Iron Maiden were great, although Bruce's voice wasn't at it's best. Priest were excellent as usual. Metallica were mixed, the old stuff was great but everything after the black album is a bit crap.
This was the last time KISS will play in Denmark, and although Paul Stanley's voice is not great anymore, they put on a fantastic show.
Was also a lot of up and coming Danish bands on show, great for them to get to play to such a large audience
