Gibbons. Not sure he exactly hauled him down though. That was Vokes doing his usual job of getting the first contact in. Heart was in mouth at the time as an absolute "seen 'em given" type. The Wycombe fans, particularly the ones it happened in front of in the stand, were all absolutely convinced it was a stonewall penalty. My suspicion is that they probably both were as guilty as each other of shoving/pulling so probably nothing doing, but it's the sort of incident refs usually blow up for, whether it's to give a penalty to the attacker or a free kick to the defender.

There was a second half moment where the Wycombe sub Kone is on the edge of the 6 yard box by near the goal line, tries to beat Gibbons with a bit of skill but his feet don’t do what his brain tells them and he falls over comically as the ball rolls slowly away. Gibbons then has all the time in the world to clear it but as he takes a massive swing, the ball bobbles off his standing foot, resulting in a massive air kick with only a tiny nick of the ball, sending it backwards towards Kone still on the ground. Pure Sunday league stuff. It eventually gets half cleared and the S.Habbin has a good laugh.
Gareth McClearly is a fine player at L1 level but had a quiet game. He’s getting on a bit too but the sort of player id love to see turn out for us on the flanks.

Getting on a bit is a slight understatement. He's 37 in a few weeks.

He's 36 until he becomes 37. That's how it works.

He played in a 2-0 defeat at Saffron Walden in October.

Indeed, interesting story all round. Wycombe fans seem to really rate him & think he'll be tear the league up next season.

I really need to spot some good sub 30 players instead of geriatrics like McCleary and Liam Sercombe.

How about Michael Morrison (36). He could have a strong Championship career, I reckon.

Glad he’s staying by the sound of it. One for the future and maybe a Championship club will come in a pay a good fee for him.

I was always more of a Russ Rover fan, but I guess the Chinese didn't fancy reviving that marque.
