Wasn't there supposed to some chap from big brother supported us (or had walked past the stadium once) There was also a chap from a band on pop idols that supported us wasn't there? Is that the Mallory Knox guy? Andrew Mallory Knox are absolutely not related to Pop Idol *spits*

The Big Brother bloke was, I think, Spencer something or other, who worked in Action Sports when it existed on Mitchams Corner.

'that legend from G4', as I heard someone address him outside the club shop once, may have been the one from Pop Idol or similar that you are thinking of. He was a regular I think.

To sum up: this is a desultory yield. We are of no interest, even to D-listers.

Tim Key has stood behind me in the NRE a few times. I probably haven't seen him for a few years now (perhaps 6 seasons or so).
Wikipedia tells me he was born in Cambridgeshire!

Rory McGrath has attended the odd game in the past, Syd Barrett from Pink Floyd was found to take an interest in the U's before he died.

Any sauce for the Barrett chat?? In his Scrapbook he had a United Fixture list view the details on the link below Description: 'Syd's' primary scrap book, largely full of newspaper and magazine cuttings, including a picture of Victoria Beckham, University reviews, information on various music festivals, features on interior design, environmental articles, one entitled 'Pollution kills hundreds of young salmon and trout', Cambridge United fixtures list, (although he was not apparently a football fan), an article on the Tour de France, a piece on African Trade and a full page from a magazine with illustrations of the De Beers Millennium Star diamond, the world's largest colourless diamond at 203.04 carat Scrap book page

Neil Robertson was tweeting about us quite a bit recently, even after the win at Wigan when he’d just finished or was in the middle of his first round game at the World Championships. Does he still live in Cambridge? Some time ago I played a frame against him (pool rather than snooker) at Frames, before he became famous! He was far, far too good for me and I didn’t pot a ball! I played him at Newmarket Snooker and Bowl when I was a wee lad. I hit the best break of my life (though it grows in the telling!) and then sat down and... carried on sitting down. He showed no mercy.

I think Neil Robertson lives in Bottisham. He was on the train with us after a few beers at Wycombe away. He'd been at a Chelsea game, asked us how we got on and got off at Royston so I'd assume he's that way
