But it's a decision a high percentage of people here are happy with - mid-table L2 with Bonner in charge over any change at the helm. Will you every realise how unfair and dishonest it is to fabricate other people's opinions?

Barnsley fans in full praise for Duff with his half-time substitutions and change of formation to negate any attacking threat we may have offered while we just pottered on playing the same way regardless. Are we that predictable? Our failure to react to Duff's half-time changes after it had become obvious that the tide of the game had changed strongly in their favour cost us any chance of taking something from the game. Massively disappointing game management.

Not heard Bonner's post match. Did he advise what was wrong with Brophy & Fejiri? Not a big fan of Brophy but today we missed him. Liam needs playing on the right.

I just saw a sack the board tweet so we must have hit peak silly season. Just seen a facebook comment saying we will drop straight through to "none [sic] League football" Can we stoop any lower?

Our right hand side was dire, not through lack of effort but Brigadier Williams looked like he wanted to be playing as a right back, Knibbs always seemed between pillar and post (not that I blame him, he needn’t be playing there).
Either way, in simple terms it was painfully ponderous at best, at worst an absolute dearth of imagination.
Ironside I bloody love you, but neither you nor us are enjoying this, and you shouldn’t still be plan A through to Plan Ferrari at this stage of things.
Bonner’s tactical limitations were badly exposed today, the game was there still at 1-0 when they were down to ten but that were some rasclaat performance afterwards. Changes 30/40 minutes too late. Broken record territory, I dare say.

Didn't see or hear any of the game, I was busy watching us being shite at rugby, so can't comment on performances, but just wondering why Williams was put back in when the Brophy/Lennett option seemed to do well the last couple of weeks? Was there an injury or just a tactical decision that went wrong? Purely looking at the stats, we seemed to have a lot more chances second half. Were these stats for stats sake or did we at any point look like getting back into it?

It was like Bonner had a brain fade today.
I think we should have switched to 4 at the back as soon as their player got sent off. Lancaster should be playing where Knibbs is, and surely it's worth playing Knibbs where Ironside is?
Joe should be on the bench. No idea why Worman (surely not a league 1 player) came on ahead of Lancaster. And why so late when we weren't creating anything? Worman had 1 or 2 good games, and hasn't done much since.
We definitely needed Wes in that sort of game.

We looked like a relegation side today, nothing going on,which was disappointing after last week's effort. We need 6 point this week, otherwise its looking grim

Just got back from Barnsley and that was poor all round from players & coaching staff. Trying hard to think who to praise today but apart from the Bennett’s and Knibbs no one else really did much. Ironside, Digby & Williams are shadow’s of their former selves and all at sea today. Digby dropping deep against 10 men when he’s got R Bennett there was just painful. Williams looked like he couldn’t be bothered to go forward and looks to me like a man who knows he won’t be here next season. I love Ironside for what he’s done for us but he’s been poor the last few weeks and looks low on confidence.
Bonner was out thought again today and should have reacted at half time to playing 10 men but didn’t. The subs were too late and bizarre especially hooking L Bennett. Why on earth again did he give Lankester a contract extension if he’s not going to use him and bring Worman on ahead of him? A real frustrating one today when you get well backed by support and let them down.
Need a massive reaction Tuesday & Saturday next week which could be season defining.

Wow, that was way too easy for Barnsley.
Obvious they were going to score first as we couldn't deal with their diagonal long balls, tactically we have decided to not press beyond the half way line so that just exposed the lack of pace in the back line. Decent save from Mitov but question marks about if he could have pushed it out of danger to avoid the tap in
Second half was woeful, same old slow and laboured movement of the ball. Crazy substitution decisions by Bonner, again. No potency.
The only reason I can think as to why Bennett was taken off was to rest him for the two upcoming games. However of that is the case then for me that was the moment Bonner threw the towel in on this game, which is unacceptable
Worman on before Lankester, I just don't understand what is going on there.
Nobody wanting to shoot from any range. Williams and Haunstrup were rubbish, need to hope Brophy is back on Tuesday
Two must win games upcoming now

My mate who came along today made the following comments:
"That was like watching a cup game between two sides in different divisions"
"28 and 4 were our best players"
"Don't feel like I've watched a game of football with all that long ball, barely any of the United players want to bring the ball down and play"

I need to vent.
That was very disappointing. We're so one dimensional and slow to react to the flow of the game that it's embarrassing.
Why keep 3 CBs on the pitch?
Why not get Tracey on earlier, at half time, to give us some desperately needed pace down the flanks?
Why keep all 11 men back at corners when we fail to pick up their man on the edge of the box anyway?
Yes they're a better side than us but we barely laid a glove on them all game. Why not have a damn go for once?
Bonner admitted that he took players off to rest them - why not go balls out to nick a point in this game? It was there for us.
Have been 'Bonner in' so far but massively annoyed tonight as it feels like we didn't believe we could get anything out of today and so didn't put in 100%.
Anyway. A glass or three of wine tonight and hope for better Tuesday.

Just got back from an absolute woeful performance. 10 men, 11 men, 9 men there was only 1 team who looked like they were going to score today. Even when the ref does us a favour after 30 mins. It was painful to watch Digby clattering around like the drunk/high bloke i saw dancing to a very bad busker in Barnsley town centre before the game. Lankester needs to replace him alongside McGrandles. Just absolute zero creativity. The away end did not like the Bennet sub and that totally stopped any decent attacking down the left. 1 proper shot on target which Smith must score. Ironsides confidence is absolutely shot. In first half he was clean through and although it was offside he decided to square it for some reason to Bennet? who was not expecting it and got tackled. Any other striker would take the shot, offside or not. Shockingly bad. Also fed up with corners just floated in like a balloon and bringing everyone back when defending corners even when loosing and against 10 men. Barnsley didn’t need to break sweat to win today. There was 1 guy shouting Bonner Out today but many having a right go at the players as they walked into the tunnel right in front of us. Really can’t see us finishing outside the bottom 2 after todays performance.
And that bloody 40 mph stretch of roadworks on the A1 outside Pish is really annoying too!!
