I heard Mick George ended their sponsorship because the Badge didn't show Marvin chipping a Coconut into a skip.

I love our badge and I don't want to see it changed.
I look forward to being surprised by any suggestions but they'd have to be good - Harrison Dunk dipped in gold good.

I for one am very fond of our toilet seat. I think it's far better than any predecessors, and far more unique than many modern efforts.

That picture, hahahaha, I can't. Andrew Especially with the one and only Neil Matheson resident headcase of C Block Maybe you don't know, but Neil does have a specific condition so calling him that, however affectionately, is not on really. He's a top top guy with a brilliant personality whose support over many years at home and away puts him right up there as a fan. Such terms are unhealthy and discriminatory.

I liked the traditional coat of arms badge we sported previously. Not saying go back to that, but something that reflects our history. A rollercoaster?

I like the old-fashioned badge and the idea that it reflect our historic city. I have no idea how but wouldn't it be splendid to include the fact that the first football rules were written here? It seems extremely relevant and something to be proud of, to me.

I ain’t a fan our badge and would like something that better reflects the club and the history and trailblazing nature of our City, however I wouldn’t lose sleep over it if we didn’t come up with something better.
Both City and Cambridge Rugby have very similar badges which feature the coat of arms so I would prefer to avoid that.
PS, the photo is brilliant.

The club badge could be so much better - a C and a U with a random set of turrets on top of a 70s football is all a bit tinpot.

Why does the club badge affect sponsors? Do they say we can’t sponsor you because of your badge. Of course not so why do sponsors want changes? Seems rather strange. Whilst the badge is not great it could be worse, like the one we had between 1978-1986. I’m absolutely not an expert (but I know U’s fans who are marketing people) but given my background contains a bit of branding/marketing long ago all I can think of is how a logo stands up as a brand when partnered with a sponsor brand. What we have at the moment isn’t very upmarket, so if an upmarket sponsor came along they’d probably wonder about how they would look sitting alongside the club crest. It seems outwardly a snobby viewpoint but a lot of (most) larger companies are very protective of how they look and how they are portrayed publicly, very much including associations with organisations such as us. In short, think of it as ‘the look’. Given the value of the Cambridge name to potential partners (you only need to look at how some companies call themselves ‘Cambridge’ based but are in Ely etc) you could argue that a stronger ‘Cambridge’ element to the club badge (logo) could be highly beneficial.

I like coat of arms badge, but as the town has done f*ck all for our club would not want to go back to it. Not sure what Mick George's problem is. They sponsor posh so are used to be associated with sh!t, surely our club badge isn't as bad as that.
