Where did I say Bonner Out? I am expressing my opinion on how the squad looks in my opinion at the moment after watching today. People said don’t worry all last summer and it didn’t turn out too great. Listened to an interview with Gary Caldwell the other day and he commented on how tough the market is at the moment and how most clubs in league 1 are struggling to recruit players. Exeter have also lost some big first team players this season and think they have only signed two so far! Some of the big hitters in League 2 might effect it I guess. Some like Wrexham/Notts County etc will be a bigger draw than us, as there isn't much in it financially just from being a division higher.

With the next game behind closed doors and not available to watch I wonder if they are saving any trialists for that game.

We look super light long way to go to get a squad that's looks better than the squad that just stayed up last season a massive task for those running the football side.

It’s disgraceful isn’t it? There’s no reason for us not to have signed two proven league one strikers. Bonner out, Betsy out, Strang out, Brewboar out etc etc Every season, every effing season Where did I say Bonner Out? I am expressing my opinion on how the squad looks in my opinion at the moment after watching today. People said don’t worry all last summer and it didn’t turn out too great. I'm not sure anyone said don't worry about it. It's more we don't know every nuance that occurred so difficult to give an informed opinion without evidence on whether it was a poor performance by Bonner or not.

It's often futile to draw any conclusions from freindly matches, but I'm going to anyway. Cardiff best in 1st half. CU best in 2nd. GThomas CU MOM GT better than JLankester GAdahame better than FOkenibire JStevens better than WMannion HDunk better defencesivly than DAndrew, but DA put in some wicked right wing corners. SJannah was Ok in patches wide right, could have benifited from his loan move. GHoddle started well but then faded. LBennett very quiet. PDigby oddly subdued. Was I the only one who thought that MMorrison could have been sent off midway through the 2nd half, ref didn't even give a foul? For Cardiff, fringe players Evans wide left 1st half and Tanner wide R 2nd looked promising, could possibly be loan targets for MB later on.

I thought pre-replay it was a bit tasty for a pre-season game but on the replay it looked like he only got the ball and it was more he fell heavily on his already injured wrist (from what the commentary team said)

Were there any post match interviews? Just tame in house ones would do. A few match photos but very little PR stuff before or after it seems. Especially with the kit launch, we need to see and hear management and players. Fans being ignored. Need updates on Rossi, Haunstrap, May etc. Not like previous pre seasons. Odd. And is the club shop closed on a Saturday the day after shirt launch? Even odder.

Agree about the club shop, but I doubt staff contracts include working weekends in pre season. They've had a busy week setting up for the kit launch and stocking shelves.

Rossi was in the first day back photos so assume is training and it would be good to get an update re Adam May. Someone posted that he might not be back until September so again highlights the need for midfield reinforcements. Haunstraup might be injured again or just isn't in Bonners plans. Maybe the club comms people didn't travel to Wales hence no interviews.

Presumably our friendly against Spurs under 21s on Tuesday isn’t going to be streamed anywhere ? I know it’s behind closed doors but we don’t even know if it’s home or away, or a kick off time. Very secretive for what is a dress rehearsal for our EFL Trophy clash.

Even if Haunstrup isn't in the Boss's plans, given the balance of the squad with youngsters, feel sure he would have played some part yesterday. Unless there is definite interest from another club.

Very secretive for what is a dress rehearsal for our EFL Trophy clash. It was also pretty secretive the last time we played them pre-season a couple of years ago. It's being played at their training ground but that's all I know.
