You're right, no point discussing his performances. He's looked a bog-standard player so far – done some good things, done some bad, not really stood out in any way whatsoever. Which obviously is fine, but I'd hoped we might get a bit more than that given he was someone we'd clearly really wanted and was our first-choice target for that position. Denton's a big boy and can speak for himself, but I don't think that's what he was getting at. Each of the back four have been routinely called out for subpar performances, Andrew more than most. If he was doing as badly as we seem to suggest after every game, we'd be in a markedly worse position. He has had a few wobbly games, for sure, but by and large he quietly does the job we've signed him for. Defending that flank. I suspect Bonner is very happy that he's got his man and he's performing as he is. Leave the heroics and the excitement that us fans crave to someone else. Yep spot on and probably better than i'd manage to articulate it

Yes, I'll give you that, Jack was outstanding for us and was disappointing to lose him so soon, with no sell-on. I mean, he was out of contract so a sell-on was never an option. My biggest gripe with Andrew is how frequently he fails to stop crosses, followed by how often he gives the ball away with poor passes. But I can definitely see improvement. Part of the reason for that is we play with our full backs narrow, inside the 18 yard lines. That makes it harder to get out to the wide men before they shape to cross, especially if it is an early delivery.

As if we are still criticising defenders after keeping 8 clean sheets this season. The creative midfielders and strikers need to do more IMHO

Yeah, 'not stopping the crosses' has been a Bonner thing since Bonner took over. I think we have to accept that it's tactical choice to keep us narrow, compact and hard to play through rather than a failing of the player(s).
I like Andrew for what it's worth. As with ElG he's not quite hit the level I thought he'd be capable of when he signed but I feel like he's getting better with each game and contributing greatly to our superb defensive record so I have no real complaints. Great name too.

The cross whipped in that almost resulted in a goal was a perfect delivery, but I've noticed his balls in from free kicks tend to float across the goal but behind play, so they're either easily dealt with or it needs a second phase of play to become a goal threat. If he put them more in front for players to attack then we may see more of an impact. He's been solid enough, but I think is a bit hamstrung by the reputation he came with, and with the way Dunk finished the season, had big shoes to fill. He's also had several different players in front of him, which as Tuesday showed, can leave him a bit exposed. A consistent partnership on that side would help I think. If Janneh or Kaikai stay fit long enough to get a run of games in front of Andrew then we may see things improve. Which, as others have pointed out, is a weird thing to say with one of the best defences in the league.

Think this is deliberate though. Our tactic for free kicks, certainly ones from deeper positions, are to go deep and try to pick our Morrison for a knockdown/back across the area.

Great name too. Andrew Not sure it would be in Bonner's plans, but when Dunk regains fitness, I would like to see him and Andrew in tandem on the left. I feel Dunk could offer the defensive support we seem to miss with Brophy on the other side. However, as Bonner didn't try that at the start of the season when Dunk was fit, not sure it would be something he will consider.

Yeah, can't see it. If we were leaking goals it'd be an option to shore up that side of the pitch but we're fine in that regard.
I do think we need to work on the understanding between Andrew and whoever plays ahead of him though because it can certainly be better...in an attacking sense most definitely and there are always small improvements you can make defensively too.
