I am gutted for him that it didn't work out. A Us fan going from the terrace to the dug-out, pretty special stuff. Good luck and thank you Mark. I think in fairness Face, it did work out, and spectacularly well in the most part. Bonz served us admirably for 3.5 years as 1st Team Head Coach, which is almost a generation in footballing terms!

I will echo what I said in the Lincoln match thread but its the right decision for him as much as us. He genuinely cares for and loves the club but its not worked for the best part of a year now. Gone is the togetherness and spirit of the promotion year, Newcastle and first year in League 1. He's a top guy and he will have a future somewhere else. I said last night maybe as a No2/Coach higher up to re-charge and get some fresh experience. He may well come back one day who knows. Thanks for the memories Mark.

Credit to the board for a brave decision. Sadly the hangover from last season is back and they backed him in the summer. The squad looks unbalanced and offensive weak.
I expect we’ll see an appointment soon as I’m sure they’ve already identified profiles/people they want to speak to. We’re an attractive prospect and will be able to attract a quality manager who’s right for us, right now.
Hats off to Bonz, what he’s brought to the club and the manner in which he conducts himself will always be admired. When he comes back here with another team he’ll be welcomed with open arms. Other than Roy Mac he’s prob the only manager I’d enjoy returning!
Best of luck to Bonz, he has a bright future ahead of him.

Had to happen, but have lost a fantastic guy that has put CU first in all he has done.

No true United fan will feel anything but gratitude to Mark for what he achieved at United and he is a gentleman as well.
I am so sad it has come to this but that's the way football works I'm afraid and unfortunately something had to be done.
Thanks Mark.

Very saddened by this. I hope he goes on to have success somewhere else.

Gutted for Mark. A sad day. An end of an era.
I genuinely feel quite sad.
A brave decision from the club and a correct one IMO.
Last few weeks must have been really tough for Mark. We know how much he cares. I really hope he gets a decent club with a decent budget and whoever they are, I hope he has all the success in the world. Go and Smash it Bonz 💛🖤

Will always be a legend of the club and gutted that it's ended like this, but it needed to happen. The squad we have this year is more than capable of competing for a comfortable mid table spot.

You might be right but it gives the new manager a month to assess the squad, tweak the tactics and look to strengthen in January. Thanks Mark for everything. I hope you return to the club in the future. We absolutely must remain in L1 this season though. I agree it gives them time to make an appointment, assess the squad and then have the January window to make changes.

Brilliant news. Now let’s get a proper manager. It was probably the right time for him to go but after all he’s achieved for the club, comments like this are disgusting. I’m embarrassed for you.
