Brilliant news. Now let’s get a proper manager. Ungrateful muppet

Tough, but probably the right decision. Wish him well, hopefully he goes on to have a successful career elsewhere.
I can see a future where he returns for one last job!

Got me through lockdown.
Thanks for everything Mark. You'll be a huge success in the game.

Not something we should celebrate, the ending to Bonner's reign was always going to be sad.
The recent comments from him tell me that it's probably the right decision to have a break. He needs some time to refresh. Also no point in backing him in January then sacking him in March. So it makes sense timing wise.
He's played a massive part in getting us to our current position, let's not lose everything he helped achieve.

Absolutely the right decision, and glad it was made now rather than Jan/feb

Unsurprising after that gutless performance last night - clearly lost the dressing room. They're incredibly large and usually stationary, I would be surprised if he couldn't find it.

Can't remember being this sad to lose a manager before. He has helped create som great memories, and will always be a United legend.
All the best for the future Mark

I hope he is still involved in the club in some way. It's a sad day but I do think it's the right time for a change.

Absolutely gutted, but know it's the right decision. Kudos to the board for making what must have been a truly agonising decision, I'm sure everyone - owners and the board - is really hurting today.
Feeling sentimental. It's like a divorce where both people know it's better to part ways but there were some fucking incredible memories along the way and those good times will always be fondly remembered.
Bonz, you're gonna come back stronger!

Gutter. IMO not the best decision. Should have given him longer

I think that after Mark's recent comments about how we are not a L1 club, not good enough etc. etc. it was an inevitable decision.
I respect Mark for what he has done, but he didn't fully learn or adjust he's tatics at all, from those of last season and it's come back to bite him. Very similar to how Richard Money's tenure ended.
It's a shame, but football is a results business, and our recent results have been shocking.
I don't think MB is entirely wholly to blame. I also question the coaching staff, Corr and Betsy and also the Teflon coated Strang, who should have been shown his cards years ago.

Bring Wanny in for a month to fire them up and show them how to play with passion. Can't see any point retaining Betsy.
