Superb point. Will Mannion is making a statement with his performances and making a strong pitch to be number one.
Really pleased for Bonne getting his first goal for Cambridge. Top guy who needs a club where he can settle and feel part of the plan.

Is Jones a new entry into the post match opposition manager moans Hall Of Fame? Current inductees include lovable cheeky Scouse scamp Joey and his idiot tweedledum captain from early in the season and Derek Algae Adams. Who else? Louis Van Gaal had a go about the pitch being bobbly when Man Utd managed a hard fought draw against us I think.

Did anyone notice a hint of ‘untogetherness’ when Bonne scored? Other than Digby I noted very few others chasing down his celebrations to join him.
I’m sure I’m reading lots into this, but considering the importance of the goal I was a bit suprised that the rest of the team weren’t revelling in his celebrations

Ah, I dunno. It was performance that showed everyone is together and fighting so that'd be my take away from the game rather than Bonnes celebration.
Fwiw I thought Bonnes celebration felt like a personal moment. A rush of catharsis for whatever happened between him and Charlton to make them hate each other. It was kind of beautiful to me.

Nothing was going to stop him giving it to the Charlton fans after scoring- Digby did well to catch up with him

Has anyone seen Nathan Jones and Pink Jacket Ipswich fan in the same room?
I'm a bit concerned about Garry Monk. He's been in charge for a few games and has not raised that the pitch has not been watered for about 8-10 years.

Speaking of Digby, another really good performance from him today. You know it's a slightly odd game when he's spraying 30-yard outside-of-the-foot passes over the top. He's hit some late-season form, & he & Cousins finally look like they've worked out how to play with each other.

To give them & Monk credit they both know their jobs now rather than trying to be the same which was the problem under Snake & Corr. Both had good games with Cousins looking like he was back in the Autumn

Although Digby and Cousins had good individual games, we offered no creativity through the middle. We know that those 2 will both start if fit till the season’s end but I was disappointed with Kachunga today although he was mainly bypassed by high balls up to Ahadme and Bonne. We needed Lankester to come on earlier to carry the ball into the final third and offer a defence splitting pass. We didn’t create many chances today and the goal was out of the blue. Some good spells of pressure in the 2nd half without making the keeper work hard. Jobe’s long throws will bear fruit soon. Lennet was working hard defensively today and didn’t get much opportunity for his trademark lung busting dribbles.

"99 problems but the pitch ain't 1" Only quoting this because it deserves bumping. Take a bow Mr Fenton.

Little Man Syndrome in full effect here Love his little looks at the pitch as he moans about it. Guess what boyo, we do actually have water, indeed even sprinklers (at this level). So, guess what? We've absolutely DONE YOU with our choice of surface preparation. Just imagine if there’d been the hiss of the sprinklers starting at about 3.30 into this. I really hope Darler stuck ‘em on before Jones left the stadium.

Thoroughly enjoyed the game yesterday after a very turgid first 20 mins or so. A real battle and we deserved our point. The stats and highlights both suggest Charlton deserved the win, but I feel we had enough territory and pressure to be worthy of our point, without creating anything really clear cut.
Another shout out for Will Mannion who was my MoM. He always has a very calm and unflappable demeanour but backed that up with some big saves too. There was a really horrendous swirling miss-kicked cross that went a mile up in the air in the first half that looked a nightmare to deal with that he plucked out with the absolute minimum of fuss and that encapsulated his assured display for me.
