As a suggestion, perhaps when a thread goes off on a tangent when two people start having a go at each other, that argument can be moved to a new thread entitled 'Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!' I think you might have quite a few iterations of that title! |

Since the end of the season this message board has been going nuts, I can't keep up with the number of posts, when we're doing rubbish it seems like we get 1 post a day, it's pages and pages with no news!
Love to see it, posters are coming back, threads being revived, nature is healing, the Mb is THRIVING

Can we do something about the recent spamming by posters who aren’t even Cambridge fans?
It’s great that we allow fans of other clubs - even that one - to engage here and share some banter but there’s a difference between that and continually spamming the forum for six days and counting after a game. Perhaps some editing of some of their posts by a moderator might be in order to discourage them…

Not a fan of the veiled homophobia in one of the posts "aren't all scum fans in the closet", it's not explicit enough to be undeniable but I've heard enough dog whistle homophobia to know what it likely means.

Tricky one because I wouldn't say they actually are spamming the forum. It's annoying & boring yes, but so are many of us on here. Not even sure they've actually broken any forum rules (although agree with Andrew above).
Like most attention-starved children, they'd stop finding it fun & disappear if people actually stopped engaging with them I'm sure, but not rising to the bait appears to be difficult for many.
Ignore them, either by scrolling past their posts or by using the actual Ignore feature, and they'll pipe down and piss off soon enough. If even Sooty will eventually give up on shouting into the void, you can rest assured that some boring jumped-up berk will too.
