For those that believe in the power of numbers - especially 7, consider this.
Last Brish male to win Wimbledon : Fred Perry, 77 years ago Last British woman to win Wimbledon: Virginia Wade in (19)77 Date Murray won Wimbledon: 7 July (7/7)!
Coincidence or Pre-ordained?

So the next British Wimbledon winner is either in 7 years, 64 years, or 77 years..?
I'd like to think there was something in it but why on earth would there be? If I believed there was a god and that he was busying himself with nonsense like this, rather than important stuff, I'd be pretty bloody angry.

That win is the greatest sporting achievement in British sporting history. Silly talk.

I've never been a particularly big Murray (or tennis for that matter) fan but that match was thoroughly entertaining and I was glued to the screen throughout.

Agreed. Very good player. Still an unlikeable bellend.

Do you think so? I reckon he has got quite a good dry, self-deprecating sense of humour.

Just imagine for a second that he was English. No doubt they'd be singing his name in Edinburgh and Glasgow....

Do you think so? I reckon he has got quite a good dry, self-deprecating sense of humour. He's got better, I'll give him that. It's more his on court personality that I can't stand, I find watching him can get really tiring with all the over the top fist pumps and the screaming into the crowd after every point. Don't think tennis has the big personalities that it used to have. Same with lots of sports though really, just take a look at F1 then and now.

Considering we also have 13 World Boxing Champions, best Rugby team in the world right now, cricket team that reached a final this year, daft amount of Olympic champions, its pretty much only the football team letting us down...
