The journey arc of the characters from start to finish is brilliant. Joel's final decision with Ellie, was it to save her or because mankind isn't worth saving, or both? Either way, there is no way he is letting another daughter die. I think it has so many more layers than the standard zombie show. It felt me with so much dread watching even though I knew the end. I like how they held the zombie's back as well compared to walking dead. I've loved every second as much as I loved playing the game. I haven't played the second game as I just can't see how it can top the first. Might have to give it a go now. See the walking dead did hold the Zombie's back towards the last few years and only ever tended to use them as/when they needed a shift in location or to add some random tension. Now I'll hype Mandolorian to the absolute death but I suspect that's because it's made for the biggest of Star Wars nerds and I unfortunately qualify. If anyone has any passing interest in Star Wars then Andor is also close to perfection and I absolutely hated his character in Rogue One. Good comedy is our flag means death, recently on the BBC. Funny enough and an easy watch

I've watched all the Star Wars spin offs. Andor was superb and Rogue One is probably my favourite Star Wars film, tied with Empire.
I liked Fett as well. Obi Wan was terrible though.

Blue Lights was decent. Maybe not as well written as other entrants in the BBC six part law and order omnibus, but still decent. Nice to see something set in Occupied Ireland.
On that vibe, The Gold was probably better, riveting stuff and towed the “inspired by” line pretty well.

"Why are we going to Norway when they're all from Sweden? What's the difference, they're all descendants of rapists."
Written by an Englishman, sometime before April '23.
Priceless. Hope you're all watching.

The constant need to refer to the class divide also wore a little thin. It's toeing the line, by the way, not that anyone would know if you said it wrong out loud!

Bit late to the party on Last of Us. Christ it was dull.
Well acted, well shot, great character arc - but dull. Third episode was cute but about 85% of gay films/tv I've ever seen finish with one or both dying at the end and it gets a bit boring. It's like a weird gay story trope.
Ted Lasso is preachy, tacky, terribly acted in parts and with humour that makes me cringe...but I'm enjoying it a hell of a lot.
I'm also enjoying Sweet Tooth on netflicks. I'm a sucker for kids being put in peril which sounds sinister but it's only because it hits me in the emotions much harder when it's children. Or animals. Or animal children.

I think Ted Lasso must be the only show that does the football stuff well, even down to the "it's an early bath for you, Mr McAdoo" stuff.

Yeah, it does it well enough. It still doesn't quite look right though.

Ted Lasso is the cringiest programme ever, but for some reason I can't turn it off. It's fantastic, shame it's the final season.
I started Sweet Tooth on Andrews recommendation the other day, I needed a programme to kill an hour a day in the gym. I'm only 2 episodes in but it's very enjoyable so far

Has anyone seen Jury Duty? It's a documentary format show about jury service through the experiences of one person...except that he's unaware everyone else involved is an actor. It's a mix of scripted and improvisational comedy which mostly works...kind of like the Truman show done for real. Really enjoyed it. The reveal at the end was very sweet.

The Walking Dead spinoff 'Dead City' is pretty good. I really like(d) the Walking Dead but I must admit I wasn't really excited about the spinoffs. Dead City sounded contrived and I didn't find Daryl a particularly engaging character from about season 4 onwards.
Anyway, Dead City is enjoyably good.
