Nah I think Gomez will go. Versatility too useful to ignore. Trafford, Dunk, Branthwaite, Quansah, Jones, Maddison, Eze would be my guess. Not sure Toney had done much to enhance his reputation since he returned, only 4 goals in 16 appearances isn't exactly setting the world on fire, he hasn't actually scored since he netted against Liverpool on 17th Feb. But he does take a decent penalty, so may be worth having him on the bench if that possibility arises I guess.

Would have been a tougher decision if the squads had stayed at 23, but with 26 it'd be foolish not to take a third striker (as to whether that third striker should be Toney or not is a different matter)

Perhaps a sign that Southgate sees his squad as having some fluidity and flexibility of positions?

Southgate said he'd be trimming the "forwards" significantly. He'd be absolutely bonkers not to take Watkins after the season he's had (and the fact he can also play as a wide-forward), so that leaves 2, possibly even 3, to cut from that end of the squad. Toney, Bowen, Grealish, Eze, Maddison and Gordon will all be nervy I'd think.

The odds on a Mancheater city relegation next year are 25/1. Chelsea is 20/1 - Liverpool and Arsenal are both 2000/1.
Looks like a lot of people are lumping on them both getting a huge points deductions or being demoted.
It's have to be a record points deduction to relegate City with a 65 gap between them and Luton.

Does Rob Page not like strikers who score goals? I'm a bit of a Page apologist, but he's making it hard to defend him at times with his selections. Especially for a friendly against a rock because he failed to get us out of a fairly simply qualifying group.

Especially for a friendly against a rock because he failed to get us out of a fairly simply qualifying group. It’s a bit odd. It’s not just Mullin but Harris (top scorer at Oxford) too. But he picks Koumas of Liverpool who has a couple of first team appearances to his name.

Collins at Bolton you'd probably also have ahead of Mullin.

And some Championship matches too, good to see a few games back on free to air after quite a while away for those competitions.

BGT comedian Alex Mitchell appears to be a CU fan. Just got a mention on ITV, his best moment CU beating Newcastle.
