Maybe. Plunkett is the obvious omission - who else are you thinking of? Wood is in the country and could be called up, but needs overs under the belt.
Adelaide is (I hope) less of a pace haven, especially as day-night: no doubt we didn't do as well today as wanted, but still in with a shout. Need a good second day or the series could be a very long road.
More fundamentally there does seem a lack of options for the longer term once Cook, Anderson and Broad go. But I guess you have to blood the others and see who's got the required balls. Jury still out on most of the most recent options - but who would you have picked, given the lack of anyone claiming a place?

England bowled poorly first up yesterday and Anderson's at it again today. Talk about not seizing the key moments. AND the Aussies are scoring freely.

Very depressing. The Barmy Army are there, apparently.

Some bullish comments from Bayliss, but doesn't seem much evidence for it.
How professional bowlers can consistently bowl the wrong lengths is beyond me. No doubt the run of the green's been with the Aussies, but there's that old adage about making your own luck.
Not looking very good at the moment.

Big night ahead. Ashes could be as good as gone by the morning I fear.

Still very much up against it but England have given themselves a bit of a chance by bowling the correct length.
All the got to do is bat correctly now.

Another CB9 postcode Yeah at least a little bit of fun this morning. I must be mad, I got up and watched the session from 3am to 5.30am. Anybody else out there as crackers as me?

Another CB9 postcode It really is a minuscule chance. To be honest if we took their last 6 wickets without conceding another run I still wouldn't fancy our chances of a successful run chase.

Game on perhaps? I dread the inevitable batting collapse but at least we have made a game of it now!

Just goes to show cricket is still alive and kicking. Its a good position to be in, we start tomorrow in sunshine, no dew in the air so a chance to hit the ground running. I think we have a real good chance to win.
