We need to make it easy for people to attend. Can we remove the barrier of buying online for the ladies team?

Seems very odd you can’t pay on the day. Good luck ladies on your campaign this season.

We need to make it easy for people to attend. Can we remove the barrier of buying online for the ladies team? Can see this as a double edged sword, with no disrespect intended towards the Women’s game, it’s probably not pragmatic to pay staff to operate the ticket booths for an attendance that you’d realistically expect to be significantly lower than a L1 match, even if the chance to buy a ticket on the night might encourage a few extra to turn up last minute. The happy medium would be to return to cash on the turnstiles, but then there would be no end of old blokes complaining about how they can’t do that for mens L1 fixtures.

Surely they'll be staff there anyway I agree that it could be seen as double standards but if we want the women's game to progress then we should make an effort

This will be the first Women’s game to be staged at The Abbey since The Euros, so the club are very unlikely to be able to realistically gauge what the uptake might be compared to previous occasions. If they were to perhaps only open the main stand (as they’ve done for various low-key mens games in the past), taking cash at the gate could well be practical (I say this with absolutely no knowledge whatsoever as to whether previous Women’s games at The Abbey have had an attendance that require more than one stand to be open).

I'm usually the biggest devil out there so fully get where you're coming from! I just think with the hype from the euros, first game of the season, a pretty successful start for the first team and a match against Naaaarch we could make it easier for people to turn up on the day!

That's great news, although it's card only on the gate

Shame there's no stream for this. Expect a few would've happily paid a fiver to watch, but I appreciate they want people through the gate and it'd have to justify the cost.

1-1 at half-time. Lovely goal by our number 18..Unfortuante to concede the equaliser...
Even game....

If the number 18's name is Tracey Shilow I'll die a very happy man.

It was a tough game. They were quite a bit bigger and we struggled going toe to toe. For fifteen minutes we didn't get out of our half. The opener was a pleasant surprise, and the scorer had plenty similar attempts in the second half. We were unfortunate for a couple of their goals, but the scoreline was probably fair.
Partridge looks very handy, and we had some positive breaks down the wing in the second half when play opened up.
A fun game, and well worth the entrance.

Yep, Norwich did look a physically bigger team. When we got tired, we could not keep the press on and lost second ball. They took advantage and scored some late goals.
Personally, I think 4-1 flattered them a little or rather we were worth a second goal. Their keeper made a couple of decent stops...
Well worth everybody trying to get to a game and hopefully next season we can have a few more games at the abbey.
A crowd of over 600 clearly suggests there is a market.
