Reminder that the women’s team play at the Abbey tonight in a derby against Cambridge City. Be good to have as many as possible there to show our support. Season ticket holders go free, you can just show up with your card, no need to get a ticket. U18s also free, tickets can be booked online. Like the Taylor testimonial, looking forward to enjoying some football under the lights away from the men’s team ongoing league woes! How did it go?

First half was a little slow, but Wiltshire scored a nice goal and as it headed towards half time we really started to get into the flow with some lovely passing to build up the pitch. Second half was a bit more eventful, with City scoring an absolutely blazing equaliser. They seemed to want it more after that point and were pushing themselves hard, finished 1-1. All round entertaining game and always lovely to be under the lights at the Abbey.

Bowed out of the FA CUP today but seem to be having a really good season so far. Excellent to see & a timely reminder that there is a lot of good going on at this club, even if at times it's hard to focus on it.

I was there, MK Dons were well worth their 2-1 win, alas much better organised, we played centre forward Ruth Fox out wide (again). Bella Simmons had a clash of heads in the First couple of minutes which I don`t think helped her. Keeper Lauren Webb saved a fairly easy penalty to keep it at 1-0 going into the break only to allow a cross to go in over her head early in the Second Half. Not sure what has happened to Sarah Wiltshire unless she is injured (?) odd too to have Skipper, Gisela Otten on the bench with a 10 min cameo at the end, again could have been a fitness issue. Having said that, always a good experience, great to see so many young families there too.......added bonus of free entry with a Season Ticket !

Lots of positive stuff going on at our community focused club including the women’s team. Nothing constructive to post then jog on.

Wouldn't it be better to place the full focus on a relegation bound 5cum 1st team who have just been humiliated by their more illustrious local rivals? However, I am sure having a good women's will soften the blow when you are back at your natural National league level in a few seasons time. They might even get higher gates than the mens team.

Posting on the women’s thread pal - if you want to talk about the men’s then at least pick the right thread. Appreciate you have a disadvantage with your reading ability.

Favourite CUFC player: Spriggs. Dublin. Pitt. Lennett.
Favourite CUFC match: vs Leicester C (H) 1982. Without that...?

Do we know what the injury was that led to the game against Norwich being abandoned?
Hope she's OK.

Not good on the PR Front again as nothing on Main Club web page.(the last report being on 13th November when the girls went out of the Women`s FA Cup !). Had to click on Norwich City site yesterday to find out it was Brooklyn Cheal - Ferris......surely this is club news ?? Cambridge Independent gives report and link to Women`s Team (Twitter) / X platform but really think the club should have put something out. I`m sure we all wish Brooklyn a speedy recovery.

Not defending the lack of an article, but it is down to the manager or secretary of the Ladies team to provide an update. I wouldn't expect our PR man to cover every match that is played by a team in the amber and black kit. The same applies for the junior section - very little goes on the club website about them, aside from high-profile European tours such as the one mentioned recently.

It would have been a nice touch for this to have been on the Club Website which surely the PR Guy would be interested in all club games over the previous weekend. Not sure if Brooklyn is a new signing as she doesn`t have a squad profile.....I`ve seen a couple of their games this season but haven't seen her feature before. Once again, hope she has a speedy recovery !

The PR guy should be all over every game played in the clubs name, no matter what age, gender or level, it’s what he’s paid to do?
