Good win today. Still was in the balance till Kohli was out.
Lords will be different. If Indias batters play better, it will test Roots captaincy. Bring it on.

You could say the same for England - both teams have a bit of thinking to do before Lords. England also have to work out how to replace Stokes.

Woakes at 8, Curran down to 9 will be the ‘safe bet.’ So the court case starts tomorrow?

With the evidence heard so far, don't think we will be seeing Ben Stokes playing again this summer.

With the evidence heard so far, don't think we will be seeing Ben Stokes playing again this summer. Need to wait until both sides have batted. Slightly disappointing for the media to jump on the 'Stokes is a homophobe' headline bases upon the prosecution alone and before the gay couple are called as witnesses, especially after they backed Stokes at the time.

Mind you, looking at the video clip, what Stokes appears to be doing is absolutely appalling.

Be ironic if this test is washed out(or partially) as a draw, he gets off next week and returns to Trent Bridge for the 18th. Unlikely looking at the evidence so far, test will be whether his 'stardom' helps or hinders him, I guess?

Top performance by India-didn’t lose a wicket all day! Got a ticket for Saturday so hopefully the sun will shine.

Well bet you enjoyed that, Shubs. I’m shocked, given the weather forecasts, that England waited until now to declare.

India bowled pretty well first session but then the England boys were excellent with the bat. Only the rain can stop England now. Drank enough beer to sink a battle ship, and had a celebratory pint or six to celebrate the news from the Abbey!

Shame this series didn't start two weeks ago in the blazing sunshine. Might of had different results. I'm happy at moment though.

I’m not rubbing it in Shubs(honest) but that trouncing feels a little hollow because India are so poor at the moment. There are batsmen in that line up who are millionaires on the back of *that* competition in India and yet are found so wanting when it comes to the real cricket challenges. I wonder what Tendulkar makes of it all, eh?
Anyway, my favourite test venue up next. Which reminds me we still haven’t sorted our openers out yet.

No worries Nuts, you are spot on. As you say these are the stars of the IPL who have been bowled out for absolutely derisory totals. With all the easy money on offer, these clowns probably thought they just had to turn up in order to win. Yes, England had by far the best of the conditions but the lack of application and patience by India has been an absolute disgrace. Ironically the bowlers have actually done pretty well. Looking down the barrel of a 5-0 whitewash now. No lessons learnt from 2014 or from Egbaston. Thank God the mighty U’s won yesterday or I would have been on the phone to Samaritans last night!
