I don't think he should have played, no, clearly somebody went missing in the diplomatic corps at the ECB. His form had actually been shite too. And I don't think Pope should have been dropped for the AB either. But then it hasn't been a great week for Popes, has it?

Stokes had played well in the first test, maybe too soon after the trial to bring him straight back. As for punishments, his initial suspension was probably adequate, no need to punish him further considering nothing new was found in court.

Wow, proper day of test cricket with more twists and turns than a Lee Philpot run down the left wing! Who’s your money on? I reckon England have got to be favourites seeing that India have to bat last.
Class efforts by Moeen and Pujara.

I spy another batting collapse tomorrow and India to wrap up the game by lunch on Sunday.

Its Cooks day tomorrow, can see a good score coming from him. We will be 80-0 for a change. Love low scoreing test matches. Think it might be a win for India. Just wish we had a top order. Wish we had another Boycott.

I am pessimistic chaps, the same as you. I can see India getting rolled over for 120 on a crumbling track. What a top series so far.

At least you have players at the top of the order who can apply themselves and play for the match situation instead of chasing runs.

Anybody catch the anniversary of Sobers’ six sixes in an over yesterday? Never noticed this before but he was wearing a West Indies sweater at the time! Talking of that sort of thing, anybody notice Cook wearing Root’s shirt when he came back out to bat last night? 😂

Reckon two is about right, Nuts, which is why it is a pity that Vijay has been dropped. Dhawan and Rahul don’t have the perseverance to play a long innings. Here’s to another top day and to a performance at the Chavs.

England in the driving seat I would say. India will bottle it for about 150 tomorrow. You heard it here first. In other news: GET IN THE FECKING U’S!!

I wish I could double like that! Good to see some grit and determination (from some), but an away win at Chevenage is always sweeter!

I’m definitely growing more intolerant as I age, but does anyone think Michael Vaughan is a bit of a twunt?

He can be and says a lot of things for effect, I reckon. I do find myself agreeing with him though from time to time, to be fair. I reckon an Indian collapse is around the corner today.

Nearly over, again all about the top of the order, or lack thereof. This could feasibly end up 4-1 which would feel like a massive crack disguise.
