I know I sound like a stuck needle but is there a better combination out there?

I know I sound like a stuck needle but is there a better combination out there? You know it’s brewed by peterborough fans?

I know it’s brewed in P’borough but tell me they’re not fans, really? Mind you, Rutland never really had a team, did it?

Think they use to link to the official site too so does seem like they’re fans. Won’t stop me drinking their beer though. Big fan. On a side note it’s such a shame they don’t sell any decent beer at the abbey. There’s some amazing local breweries like Brewboard, 3 Blind Mice and Moonshine around here who the club could be linking up with.

An excellent combo indeed. However, I do marginally prefer their Citra and Green Devil offerings, both of which are available on the other side of Mill rd, at The Live & Let Live, which I also marginally prefer to The Kingston. Their Bishops Farewell is a regular at The Champ and is also delectable.
Side note, about 10 years ago my older brother was going out the owner of the brewery’s daughter. Case loads of their stuff regularly turned up unannounced at our house. I’ve not spoken to him, since the selfish bar steward ditched her for some unfathomable reason.

Bloody love the Kingston, really does take some beating. Used to be a bit obsessed about trying the different ales but these days just stick with what I know and enjoy. Can’t go far wrong with JHB for sure. Very decent pub grub in there too.
Will be in there tonight for a couple with the good lady before before strolling over to a table booked at Prana.
Really enjoy all of the well known Mill Road ‘ale’ houses, but my favourite tends to switch back and forth between The Kingston and The Geldart. Probably the Kingston if it’s going to be a bit of a session, and the Geldart if the plan is a couple of jars, a good glass of wine and some really good pub food - their prawn linguini (for example) is uncomplicated, but right on the button.
We’re all really lucky having half a dozen or so cracking boozers in that area.

Ok, randomly cross linking threads, Strang is the equivalent to Green King IPA. How on earth is that supposedly a beer.

I’ve never much liked Abbot, either. Do they still make St. Edmunds? Used to like a drop of that, but haven’t seen it on draught anywhere for years.

I’ve seen St. Edmunds on a few occasions, but can’t remember where. The Robin Hood I think.
I just can’t get on with GK at all, it’s all shite, although, I seem to recall their Mild was bloomin’ gorgeous. Must be donkeys years since I had a pint of that. Anyone know if that’s available anywhere?

I used to drink St Edmund at the Panton Arms. Went on a solo Greene King IPA and quiz machine binge once, mostly bad pubs. Liked the Kingston. Saw Phil Law in there once.
